What a great adventure we had. Peter, Porter, Eric, Trish, Josh, Brookie, Grandpa and Grandma, trying to find the perfect tree. The one that when you see it light radiates from it. No other tree can even come close when you find the perfect one.

Grandpa waiting for the light to ascend on his tree.

Is it the perfect tree or what?

Thanksgiving in Ohio
We had such a great time in Ohio with Krissy, Ray, Kate and Jack. It was hard to leave them. We got there on Monday night after a long but uneventful flight, Krissy showed us her growing business of bags etc. She really is talented. Not only with her bags and sewing projects but with the creativity she has in her home and in rasing her children. Tuesday morning we got up and went to Amish Country. We debated whether to go or not but when we got there we wished that we had a few days there. There was so much to see and do. We started at the bakery, then some of their craft stores (I really liked these and wished that they were closer to us) Chocolate factory and then we went to dinner at an Amish restuarant and back home. Wednesday Ray took us over to his school and we each had an eye exam and ordered glasses (long overdue for me) Ray did a great job!!! We registered for the race the next morning, went to dinner and also to Graeaters which is an ice cream place. On Thanksgiving we got up and went to the Turkey Trot. Kate ran first in the childrens race. (We got there late but Krissy put her into the last 20 yards of it) Anti-clamatic for Kate, she expected a much bigger one. Then we took off on our race (Krissy and I) Krissy tried to stay with me but when the masses started to move in I lost her ( She was our guarantee for a pie and needed to run faster anyway) It was a 5 mile race uphill and downhill I don't remember any flat. My goal was to finish without walking. At the very end when I wasn't sure I was going to make it Krissy came and ran and encouraged me for the last. I was really happy when I not only finished without walking but did it in 50 minutes flat. (12 minuets behind Krissy) I also won a pie. 2000 pies were given out to the first 1000 women and the first 1000 men. There were over 4000 entries. We then went back home for a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner. Everything was just perfect. Ray and Dad had picked up a few DVDs for our afternoon enjoyment and we played games. (Dad took a nap during the games)On Friday we got up at 5:30am and were at the stores by 6:00am. It was fun but people are crazy. We found some very good deals but at one store the lines were close to 2hours to check out. Krissy said that there weren't any deals that were that good. (I have to agree) After a morning of shopping we when home and took naps and went to the zoo, dinner and to the airport to catch our plane. It was hard to leave but hopefully everyone will be in the Northwest soon.Hopefully Krissy will be posting some of the pictures of our adventure on her blog. I haven't really figured out how but I also do not have any pictures yet. I did want to send you all a Happy Thanksgiving Blessing that I found but could not figure out how to put it on the blog so I am sending you all the address for it please click on it and have a very wonderful holiday season.www.mayyoubeblessedmovie.com
